Eidos Interactive Ltd is part of the SCi Entertainment Group Plc (SEG). Eidos operates various branches in Europe and the US and runs several own development studios like Crystal Dynamics, IO Interactive, Beautiful Game Studios and Eidos Montreal. The group holds trademark rights of some of the most popular videogame-brands worldwide, among others series such as Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, Championship Manager and Just Cause. In 2009, the company will be taken over by the Japanese Final Fantasy-Developer Square Enix.
To enter the german market, both console-games „Monster Lab“ and the „My Games“-series, comprising of „My Secret Diary“, „My Dress-Up“ and “My Make-up“, were to be accompanied by continuous press relations. The aim was to popularise and place the titles as recommended gifts for Christmas in children’s, youth’s and parent’s media. Classical press work was agreed on to be combined with sweepstakes and commercial marketing co-operations. Furthermore, a media-partner was to be acquired to cover a large-scale Monster Lab drawing contest that was promoted on schools all over Germany.
