Client:
The 4CARE AG (formerly Lenscare AG), based in Kiel, is one of Germany’s first to the market, being a specialist contact lens mail order company since 1995. Offering high quality products at great prices, 4CARE could establish itself successfully as Germany’s largest contact lens mail order company. In self-service stores such as supermarkets or drug stores, 4CARE not only sells contact lenses and corresponding care solutions of its brand Acumed but also Acumed reading glasses and sunglasses to complete the companies profile as an optometric wholesaler.

Project:
In November 2007, 4CARE’s more than 50 employees were invited to take part in a mysterious event that started quite formal but ended up in a cheerful Christmas party.
A casual get-together at lunchtime at the chosen location was followed by an emotional speech of the CEO, Bernd Behrens. Afterwards, coach Jürgen Bock gave his as much practical as entertaining motivation speech titled “Ball or Basher?”.

The day continued with different workshops designed to prepare the evening to follow. Whilst some people were mixing and serving cocktails under professional guidance, others were preparing a quiz for the evening, created a funny staff-register, or creatively realized the company’s corporate values by weaving small carpets. Another team set the table festively. With the help of the well-known TV chef Thies Möller, three further groups prepared the courses needed for the menu. Later on, starter, main course and dessert were cooked and finalized in front of all the colleagues’ eyes at three major cooking stations. Along the way, Thies Möller gave some amusing advice on how to become a professional TV chef.
After the dinner, the evening went on with delicious cocktails, music and time for further conversation or a dance.
